She became a Registered Dental Assistant at the Grossmont Health Occupations Center, has a CAD/CAM Certification in Digital Dentistry, and is currently working on a DAANCE (dental anesthesia assistant certification). She loves laughing with our team at work, using modern technology and health education to help improve patients’ quality of life, and ensuring patients enjoy their visits to Blue Wave Dental.
Alisha loves music, most food (“no seafood please!”), cooking, learning about nutrition and health, and active pursuits like waterskiing, jet skiing, paddleboarding and playing other sports. Liza was born in Pearl City, Hawaii and raised in a military family. Growing up, she had an underbite and ended up spending so much time in the dental chair that a career in the field made perfect sense to her. She was a Registered Dental Assistant for several years before becoming a Financial Coordinator and now Office Manager for the Blue Wave Dental team. Her focus is attending to patients’ needs and being able to help them fully understand and finance the dental treatments they want and need. Liza says, “Seeing their smile and boost of self-confidence is the best part of our day!”
In her spare time, Liza loves watching sports and traveling. She married her high school prom date, Rod, and they have two grown sons, Ricky and Ryan, and a dog named Rocco. She and her family are all big foodies and enjoy trying new restaurants. She says, “With the boys grown and out of the house, meals all together is this mom’s dream!”
